Classic Prayer: Fifth Century

Posted in Ancient Prayers, Classic Prayers at 5:00 am by davebayne

A prayer for Christ’s presence to be with us from a fifth century Christian liturgy:

“Be present, O Lord, to our pleas; that as we trust that the Savior of all people is seated with You in Your Majesty, so we may feel that, according to His promise, He abides with us to the end of the world; through the same Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.”

(Lightly paraphrased)
